A big flood hit the Grand Canyon in August 2026. Heavy rain came fast. The park says two people died. Helicopters took more than 60 people out. The water broke bridges and a water pipe.
The Grand Canyon is in the United States. It is long and very deep. A river cut the rock for millions of years. Some rocks are almost two billion years old.
Floods come almost every year. But this flood was very bad. A fire burned the land in 2025. The radio says burned land could not hold rain. The broken pipe closed park hotels.
