Starbucks is a big coffee company. On Thursday, it said it would close 250 shops. The shops are in North America. Some shops do not make enough money.
Last year, Starbucks closed 627 shops. Workers at more than 700 shops voted for a union. A union is a group of workers. Starbucks does not like this.
Some workers will move to other shops. One old shop near Los Angeles closed on Saturday. It was almost 30 years old. People loved its big windows. Is it one of the 250? We do not know.
