Hackers stole $6.3 billion from Binance. Binance is the world's biggest crypto exchange. People buy and sell digital money there. Experts say it may be the biggest theft ever. At first, Binance said it started with one worker's laptop, but found other weak points. Binance has now stopped about $3 billion of the stolen money.
Some companies study how crypto money moves. They say the hackers may be from North Korea. Many people think a group called TraderTraitor did it. Experts say North Korea steals money with computers. But North Korea always says it does not do this.
Binance says customers' money is safe. It will use more than $6 billion of its own money to pay customers back. But the price of Bitcoin fell 5% on Friday. Experts also say the law gives customers no guarantee. Governments do not protect crypto money like bank money.
