Many websites around the world closed for a short time. Researchers found two big security problems in PHP. PHP is a computer language for making websites. A fix came out on 21 October. Some countries told people to close their websites until they fixed them. Some government websites in Finland went offline.
AI helped the researchers find the problems. AI means artificial intelligence. The problems were hidden for more than ten years. Bad people could use them to get into websites and steal information. One company says about 70% of the internet has this problem.
Bad people moved fast. They tried to attack websites millions of times. Japan's leader asked people to check their websites. One person at an AI company says things will get worse before they get better.
