Shares in SpaceX fell 16% on Monday. SpaceX is Elon Musk's rocket company. The shares fell for three days in a row. The fall came after a new plan. The company wants to sell bonds and borrow about $20billion. It needs the money for AI and for plans in space. AI means artificial intelligence.
SpaceX had a great start on the stock market. On 12 June, it first sold shares to the public. It raised nearly $86billion. This made Musk the richest person in the world. But the company spends a lot. It lost almost $5billion last year. Starlink is its internet business. It made money in 2025. Other parts did not.
Now SpaceX wants to borrow money for AI, like other big companies. Some experts are worried. They say people trust Musk more than the company's real results. They warn that hopes are too high.
