Rescue teams in Indonesia are looking for about 140 people. They were on a passenger ship. The ship had more than 240 people on it. On Sunday, it lost contact in bad weather in the Java Sea. It was going from Surabaya to Banjarmasin. Other ships carried 103 people to safety, but one of them died.
The ship company told officials about the bad weather. Nobody knows yet what happened to the ship. Indonesia has about 17,000 islands. Many people travel by boat because it is cheaper than flying. But boats are not always safe, and accidents happen often.
The rescue teams are using ships and a helicopter. They are going to the place where the ship lost contact. The head of the search says they are using all their people and equipment. The search is still going on.
