Two people in Michigan died. They had a stomach illness. Officials said this on 3 August. These were the first deaths from this illness. It is the biggest outbreak in the United States.
A very small parasite makes people sick. It comes from dirty food or water. People get stomach pain. They feel very tired. Some cases came from lettuce.
Michigan has more than 11,000 sick people. Doctors say people must not panic. Deaths are very rare. Officials say people must wash vegetables well.
