Yoon Sent to Prison for Drones
A court in South Korea sent former president Yoon Suk Yeol to prison. He must stay there for 30 years. The court says he ordered secret drones to fly over North Korea's capital in 2024. His former defense minister also got 30 years. The court says they wanted to start trouble with North Korea.
North Korea first made these claims in October 2024. It said South Korea sent drones to drop paper messages. Yoon's lawyers say the flights were not wrong. They say North Korea sent many balloons full of trash into the South first.
This is a big fall for the 65-year-old leader. In December 2024, Yoon tried to give the army control of the country. But it ended after about six hours. Lawmakers voted to stop him. He was removed from his job and arrested in 2025.
