Two bombs exploded in Syria on Tuesday. They went off near a hotel. A French leader, Macron, was staying there. At least 18 people were hurt. But Macron was safe.
Macron came to Syria for a visit. He is the first big Western leader in years. He met Syria's new leader. Syria is still not safe. Days before, another bomb killed nine people.
Macron did not stop his visit. France and Syria want to be friends. They will send people to help. Most people in Syria are poor. The visit brings a little hope.
