Cinemas Say No to Meta Glasses
Cinemas in Britain want to stop people wearing smart glasses. These glasses have a small camera inside. Cinemas are afraid that people will film a movie in secret. The glasses are made by Meta and cost £359 in Britain.
Other places do not like the glasses. Restaurants, pubs and theatres already have rules about them. In the United States, a man filmed a woman with the glasses. She did not know about it. Friends sent her the video, and many people watched it online.
Meta says the glasses are safe. A small light comes on when they film. But a US news company tested this. A reporter covered the light, but the glasses kept filming. Texas is now looking at the problem.
