Scientists now know how the biggest T. Rex died. The dinosaur is called Scotty. It lived about 66 million years ago. People found its bones in 1991 in Canada. Scotty was about 43 feet long. It was as heavy as two elephants.
One rib still had old soft tissue inside it. This almost never happens with old bones. The tissue is very easy to break. So scientists used special scans to look inside. The scans made clear pictures of the rib. They saw many small blood tubes in it. Nobody had seen this in a fossil before.
The blood tubes show what happened. Another dinosaur hurt Scotty in a fight. The rib broke. New blood tubes grew to repair it. But Scotty died before the rib got better. Scientists now want to study other old bones.
