Kane Breaks Record With 100 Bundesliga Goals

Harry Kane is now the fastest player ever to score 100 goals in the Bundesliga, the top football league in Germany. He reached the number on Friday in his 98th league game for Bayern Munich. Bayern won 7-0 against Union Berlin. Kane scored from a penalty, then headed in a ball from Michael Olise for his 101st goal.

The old record was 49 years old. Dieter Muller of Cologne scored 100 Bundesliga goals in 1977, but he needed 129 games. That is 31 games more than Kane. Kane joined Bayern from the English club Tottenham Hotspur in 2023. The Daily Mail says Bayern paid 100 million pounds for him. Since then he has scored 152 goals in 154 games in all competitions. In the Bundesliga he now has more goals than games. In the Bundesliga he scores faster than Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski.

I am very proud. I have loved every second of it, Kane told Sky Germany. Many people now think he can win the Ballon d'Or, the biggest prize for one player. The winner will be announced in London on 26 October. Kane's contract ends this season, but he says he is happy in Germany.
