Buffett Ends 20-Year Gates Foundation Giving Partnership

Warren Buffett, the 95-year-old chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, has ended a 20-year giving partnership with the Gates Foundation. In his yearly mid-year announcement on Tuesday, Buffett said he would give about $6 billion in Berkshire shares to four foundations run by his own family. He did not mention the Gates Foundation, which had received the largest part of his donations for two decades.
