Warren Buffett is 95 years old. For 20 years, he gave money to the Gates Foundation. But this year, he stopped. On Tuesday, he gave about $6billion to four family foundations instead. He did not name the Gates Foundation. Since 2006, that foundation received more than $47billion from him.

Buffett and Bill Gates were once close friends. In 2010, the two men started the Giving Pledge. It asked rich people to give away their money. But Buffett has grown distant from Gates. Government files showed Gates knew Jeffrey Epstein. Gates says he is sorry. He has not done anything wrong.

Buffett's other shares are worth more than $140billion. This money will go to his family's charities. He will give it all away by 2034. The Gates Foundation thanked Buffett for his help. It says it is still strong. It will continue its work until 2045.
