US Blocks Microsoft From Green Card Program

On 8 October, the US government stopped Microsoft from using a program that helps foreign workers get permanent residency. Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling said the Department of Labor would not accept new applications from Microsoft under the Permanent Labor Certification Program (PERM). Seven other companies, including Adobe and Infosys, were also suspended.
