Uber Eats to Launch Drone Delivery With Zipline

Uber and Zipline announced in August a partnership that will allow Uber Eats customers to receive food orders by autonomous drone. The companies said the first deliveries will begin later this year in markets where Zipline already flies, including Dallas and Houston, before expanding to dozens of additional cities across the United States. Their long-term goal is one million drone deliveries a day by the end of 2029. Uber is also making a strategic investment in Zipline, although neither company has disclosed its size.
