Study Links Weekend Lie-Ins to Lower Blood Pressure

Researchers have found that sleeping in at the weekend may lower the risk of high blood pressure, provided the extra rest stays moderate. The findings were presented at the annual congress of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) in Munich, the world's largest heart conference. A team at Korea University analysed sleep data from South Korean adults, a sample the Guardian put at about 40,000 people followed over seven years and the New York Post at 41,000 studied between 2016 and 2023.
