Measles Kills Teen in Pennsylvania
A young person, 18 years old, died from measles in Pennsylvania, in the US. The teen did not have the measles vaccine. This is the fourth measles death in the state this year. The other people who died were a woman and two babies.
Measles is a disease that spreads very easily. It goes through the air when people cough. This year is the worst year for measles in the US since 1992. The country has more than 3,200 cases. The vaccine stops most cases. But fewer children get it now.
State leaders want to stop the disease. They want more people to get the vaccine. In August, many more people got it than usual. A doctor says there is no medicine for measles. So people must stay away from sick people.
