sportSep 29, 2026·377 words·3 min read

Manchester City has been found guilty of breaking the Premier League's financial rules, according to reports that emerged in late September. An independent commission is said to have ruled against the club on the vast majority of the 115 charges brought by the league in February 2023, which relate to the period between 2009 and 2018. The hearing began in September 2024.
