Harry's Family Meets King Charles Again

King Charles met his son Prince Harry, Harry's wife Meghan, and their two children on Friday. The family came to Highgrove House, the King's private home in England. The children are seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet. Buckingham Palace said that the King and Queen Camilla welcomed them. The palace called it a private family visit and released no photographs. The Daily Mail said the family stayed for more than an hour. It was the first time Meghan and the children had seen the 77-year-old King since 2022. The King is still receiving treatment for cancer.

Harry and Meghan stopped working as senior royals in 2020. They moved to California, and after that the British government reduced their police protection. Harry later wrote a book called Spare, and he and Meghan gave interviews that criticized the royal family. These things damaged his relationship with his father and his brother, Prince William.

The visit ended a hard week for Harry. On Tuesday, a court rejected his privacy case against the publisher of the Daily Mail, saying his claims could not be proven. But on Friday, people saw Harry smiling at an event near Birmingham. Nobody knows yet whether this one visit will repair the family.
