Chinese AI Kimi Stops New Customers
Moonshot is a company in Beijing, China. It makes AI programs. AI means artificial intelligence. The company made a new program called Kimi K3. But it stopped letting new people pay for it. Too many people wanted to use it. The company's computers could not do all the work.
Other people can study Kimi K3 and copy it. Chinese companies build these programs for much less money than American companies. In tests, Kimi K3 was very good at writing computer code. It did better than two famous American programs. But one American program is still better. An expert said the company does not have enough computer chips.
The United States does not sell its best computer chips to China. So Chinese companies often need more computer power. American technology companies are worried. People think American companies can not keep their high prices.
