Zelenskyy's Open Letter Urges Talks With Putin

On Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy published an open letter — a public message addressed to one person but intended for a wide audience — urging Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet face-to-face and negotiate an end to the war. It is the first such letter Zelenskyy has written directly to Putin since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022. He proposed that talks be hosted by a neutral country such as Switzerland, Turkey or an Arab state, and offered a full ceasefire for the duration of negotiations.
