The telescope has a strange story. A spy group gave NASA a satellite. Nobody was using it. Engineers turned it to look at the stars. Roman can see a very wide part of the sky.
Scientists want to study dark energy. Dark energy pushes the universe apart. Roman will look at many galaxies. A galaxy is a big group of stars. The work will last five years.
