NASA Picks Blue Origin to Start Moon Base

NASA (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration) on Tuesday selected Jeff Bezos's company Blue Origin to launch the first of three uncrewed missions to the Moon by the end of 2026, opening construction of a permanent lunar outpost called Moon Base. At a Washington press conference, NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said the choice put Blue Origin ahead of Elon Musk's SpaceX in delivering the opening cargo flight, which is expected as early as fall.
