Sony's Robot Ace Beats Elite Table Tennis Players

A robot made by Sony has beaten elite table tennis players in official matches, in what the company says is a historic moment for AI (artificial intelligence) and robotics. The robot, called Ace, won three out of five matches against highly skilled players at an Olympic-sized court in Tokyo. Former Olympic player Kinjiro Nakamura watched Ace perform a rapid backspin shot and said he did not think such a move was possible.
