Oil Prices Fall 20% on US-Iran Peace Deal

Oil prices fell sharply on Friday. Brent crude is on track to drop about 20% in May, its biggest monthly fall since 2020. The drop came after the White House said US and Iranian negotiators had reached a tentative deal to extend a ceasefire. Brent — the global oil benchmark — fell to about $93.36 a barrel before easing to $91.51. AAA (the American Automobile Association) said the US average gasoline price had fallen to $4.
