American public spaces are filling with new robotic and artificial-intelligence helpers. In Los Angeles, Serve Robotics — one of the leading food-delivery bot companies — has deployed another 500 small wheeled robots in May 2026, expanding its fleet to 40 neighborhoods from just two in 2023. A rival, Coco Robotics, founded at UCLA (the University of California, Los Angeles) in 2020, operates roughly 300 bots across the city. At the same time, New York's LaGuardia Airport has installed a life-sized AI hologram named Bridget in Terminal B.
