Cape Verde, one of the smallest countries ever to play at the World Cup, drew 2-2 with two-time champions Uruguay on Sunday. The Group H match took place in Miami Gardens, Florida. Cape Verde fell behind but did not give up. Kevin Pina scored their first goal of the tournament with a 30-yard free-kick, and Helio Varela equalised in the 61st minute, rounding the goalkeeper before scoring.
