Astronomers Discover New Object: The Black Hole Star

An international team of astronomers says it has found a completely new kind of object in space: a "black hole star". The object, which the team calls MoM-BH*-1, sits billions of light years from Earth in the constellation Cetus, also known as the Whale. It formed about 660 million years after the Big Bang. Pictures from the James Webb Space Telescope show something roughly as wide as our solar system, shining with a deep red light.
